Want to learn how to start your very own cutting garden from seed? Join us for a spring 2025 Seed-Starting Workshop held in our gardens on Woodmont Boulevard. While we will cover all methods of seed-starting, this class will largely explore the basics of the soil-blocking method, which is a fantastic way to start lots of seeds indoors with little space (among other benefits). This class is for anyone who wants to get their hands dirty and discover the joys of cultivating your own garden. Seeds are not limited to flowers- if you desire a vegetable garden, soil-blocking will work just as well. Come learn more!
Each workshop includes:
Hands-on instruction and demonstration of seed-starting
Heirloom seeds to sow during class and additional seeds to take home for your own gardens
All materials provided (watering can, tray, seedling heat mat & grow lights)
Sowing guides
Bed prep instructions
Seedling care & harvesting information
Membership in private FB group for coaching through the 2025 growing season
Each 2 hour class includes thorough instruction and hands-on demonstrations from Meredith, along with all the supplies & information needed to get started sowing all the heirloom seeds you can dream of for your own cutting gardens. You’ll head home with a new skill under your belt, a tray of sown seeds, and more for starting at home.
We’re looking forward to sowing with you!
